SpotX bolsters APAC team with two new hires

SINGAPORE -- 21 November 2018 -- Leading global video ad serving and monetisation platform SpotX today announced two key hires in Singapore, indicating new expansion throughout the region. The company has appointed Mete Bargmann to the position of Business Development Director, APAC, and Nirmal Bhagwani as Senior Account Manager, Supply Operations, APAC. Beyond Singapore, SpotX also has staff located in Australia, Indonesia, and Japan.Bargmann moves from SpotX’s Amsterdam office, having spent over two years with the company in the European market. He brings a deep understanding of the SpotX video ad serving and monetisation platform, along with extensive experience in both programmatic and publisher data enablement strategies.“I’m excited to move to a new market and apply my experience with Europe’s large publishers and broadcasters to a new region. It is clear from some of my early discussions here in Asia that there are many learnings from Europe that can help Asian businesses fortify their digital video strategies,” Bargmann said.Bargmann previously worked for Platform161, SBS Broadcasting, Semilo and CBS Outdoor.Bhagwani relocated from India to pursue career opportunities in adtech, which have been steadily emerging in Singapore. He brings 7 years of experience in the programmatic industry working with publishers from the US, EMEA and APAC on improving their monetisation performance and strategies.“I wanted the opportunity to learn more about the entire ad tech ecosystem, further develop my skills and most importantly, work with the biggest, most innovative media companies across the Asian market,” Bhagwani said.Bhagwani previously worked with Smaato, Pubmatic and NCR Corporation, before joining SpotX in October 2018.Managing Director of SpotX in JAPAC, Gavin Buxton, welcomed the two new hires by pointing to continued growth within SpotX’s team. “We’re set up to provide the JAPAC market with best in class digital video advertising technology and support.
